FiberX Brings Agricultural Innovation to Compounding World Expo 2024

We’re excited to announce that FiberX will be exhibiting at the AMI’s Compounding World Expo in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 13-14, 2024. This premier event for the North American compounding industry is the perfect stage for us to showcase our groundbreaking corn stover microfibers and their transformative impact on biocomposite plastics.

At booth C1325, the FiberX team will be demonstrating how our agricultural innovation is reshaping the future of plastics. Our corn stover microfibers are not just a sustainable alternative; they’re a performance enhancer, making plastics stronger and more rigid while reducing polymer shrinkage and costs.

Dave Skibinski, President and CEO of FiberX, shares his enthusiasm for the upcoming event:

“The Compounding World Expo represents a unique opportunity for FiberX to connect with industry leaders and showcase the incredible potential of agricultural by-products in advanced materials. Our corn stover microfibers are more than just a sustainable option – they’re a game-changer for the plastics industry. We’re excited to demonstrate how our technology can help companies improve their products, reduce costs, and meet their sustainability goals all at once.”

The Compounding World Expo, held in the heart of North America’s plastics hub, is more than just an exhibition. It’s a hub of innovation, learning, and networking. With four co-located expos – Compounding World, Plastics Recycling World, Plastics Extrusion World, and Polymer Testing World – attendees will have unparalleled access to insights across the entire plastics value chain.

For FiberX, this event is an opportunity to showcase how new agricultural based feedstocks can intersect with and enhance traditional industrial processes. Our team will be on hand to discuss:

• The unique properties of our corn stover microfibers
• How our products can enhance various plastic formulations
• The sustainability benefits of incorporating agricultural by-products into plastics
• Our vision for the future of biocomposite materials

We invite all attendees – whether you’re a decision-maker, supplier, or industry expert – to visit booth C1325. Let’s explore together how FiberX’s innovations can propel your business forward while contributing to a more sustainable future for the plastics industry.

The Compounding World Expo promises two days of rich connections, knowledge exchange, and discovery of cutting-edge innovations. And the best part? Admission is free for industry professionals.

Don’t miss this chance to see firsthand how FiberX is bridging the gap between agriculture and advanced materials. We look forward to meeting you in Cleveland and discussing how we can work together to shape the future of plastics.

See you at booth C1325!

About FiberX

FiberX is both an agribusiness and a biochemical products company that is upcycling corn stover, the world’s largest agricultural by-product, into novel chemical product feedstocks significantly reducing or eliminating the use of petrochemicals. FiberX has automated processing corn stover into microfibers that have been combined with synthetic and organic plastic polymers to make biocomposite plastics. These same fibers can be used as a feedstock for making molded pulp packaging and food products. Using technology developed at Purdue University, FiberX extracts and depolymerizes lignin, creating “tuneable” lignin that can be used as a sustainable and novel feedstock for industrial resins, coatings and adhesives.
